Missouri S&T

Missouri S&T held a design-build competition to create an innovative building solution with an incredibly aggressive schedule, to house all their on-campus architects & engineers. M+H Architects was invited to compete. The university needed to consolidate and maximize storage, and also unify Missouri S&T staff members and translate its core values into the workplace environment.

This project will remain as having the fastest design schedule our team has ever undertaken with a project of this complexity, In a design-build delivery, this project was permitted within 12-weeks and constructed in just under 11-months. Utilizing a pre-engineered building solution to increase speed of construction seemed to repudiate the programs complexity and aesthetic, thus pushing the design team to prevent that from happening. A true “all-hands-on-deck” approach fostered a collaborative team energy that led to a successful solution that uniquely responds to the site and strengthens the innovative Missouri S&T school campus.
