Project Spotlight: Rawlings Sporting Goods

News + Insights

Rawlings has spent more than a century helping athletes perform at their best. Behind every glove, bat, and piece of equipment is a process of research, testing, refinement, and craftsmanship that continues to shape the future of the game.

The Rawlings Tech Center was designed to bring that process together under one roof, creating a destination where innovation, product development, and athlete performance intersect.

Located in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, the 53,000-square-foot facility serves as Rawlings’ engineering and technology hub, bringing together research, manufacturing, retail, and player development in a highly collaborative environment. M+H Architects provided architectural and interior design services, creating a space that supports diverse functions while expressing the Rawlings brand throughout the entire experience.

At the heart of the facility, engineers develop, test, and refine the next generation of baseball and softball equipment. Nearby, a custom glove workshop allows skilled craftspeople to produce professional-grade gloves for elite athletes, creating a direct connection between product innovation and the craftsmanship that has defined the Rawlings name for generations. Together, these spaces foster collaboration and accelerate the journey from concept to finished product.

The facility’s impact extends beyond product development. Home to D-BAT O’Fallon, the complex also welcomes athletes of all ages through climate-controlled batting cages, instructional spaces, and private coaching areas. This unique integration creates opportunities for players to train and develop their skills in the same environment where the future of the sport’s equipment is being designed and refined.

By bringing together research, craftsmanship, training, and customer engagement, the Rawlings Tech Center serves as more than a workplace. It is a destination where ideas become products, products help shape performance, and innovation continues to advance the game for generations to come.
