Jewish Community Center
St. Louis, Missouri

The Challenge
The Jewish Community Center wanted to create a state-of-the-art fitness and wellness complex that connected to one of its current buildings, and revitalize the membership base. Part of the challenge with this project was creating a seamless aesthetic while incorporating the latest technology and design elements. The project supported JCC’s strategic plan to bring innovation to all J programs; build on the J’s reputation for excellence across all services and functions; provide an engaging experience to all members and guests; and serve the community’s needs wherever possible.

The Solution
The phased project took two years to complete and included the partial demolition of an existing building to create a consistent facade. The wellness center includes a beautiful two-story lobby, indoor and outdoor pools, racquetball and squash courts, a fitness center, gymnasium with an elevated track, meeting spaces, upscale locker rooms, a spa, performing arts center, adult and early childhood education center, banquet facility, and expanded kitchen and catering facilities.
