E-Commerce Fulfillment Distribution Center (TNS)

Traditional Non-Sort (TNS) projects are industrial build-to-suit distribution centers for Amazon. These unique facilities are one of several innovative building types that we design for this client. These building types contain all the features of traditional distribution centers, but also incorporate a multi-level pick module, innovative conveyance systems, various racking types, and wire-guided forklifts to maximize and diversify product storage capabilities.

These projects require strong attention to detail by the design team to ensure Amazon’s ever-evolving standards are implemented into the design. During construction, we work closely with contractors and their trade partners to ensure all critical aspects of the project are maintained using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) software. In addition, flexibility and responsiveness are critical to the success of these projects. Being able to adapt quickly to tenant-driven design changes throughout each project ensures the schedule is maintained and cost impacts are limited.
