Expanding Horizons: Our Conference Adventures

Last month, multiple members of our architectural team had the opportunity to attend several key industry conferences and expos across the country. These events are great ways for us to stay on top of the cutting edge of design, technology, and sustainability in architecture, directly benefiting our clients through forward-thinking solutions.

Our first stop was the I.CON Cold Storage Conference in Las Vegas, which was tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities designers and developers face within the cold storage sector.
The NAIOP, a Commercial Real Estate Development Association, hosts a handful of conferences and events such as the I.CON East event in New Jersey, where two of our architects were in attendance earlier this year.
These conferences help address the rapid growth of the cold storage industry and help bring together developers, architects, and engineers to explore innovations in construction, design, and real estate investment for temperature-controlled facilities.

Another event our team attended was the Tilt-Up Convention & Expo in Phoenix, Arizona hosted by the Tilt-Up Concrete Association. Our architects connected with leaders in tilt-up construction, a method widely utilized in industrial projects. This event emphasized emerging technologies, safety improvements, and best practices in design and construction. At the TCA convention you could be sure to find different workshops and demonstrations, showcasing the evolution of tilt-up construction and the advancements in the field.
One demonstration specifically highlighted the use of alternative materials incorporated into the cement castings, a nod to protected local vegetation.

This innovative approach provided a completely new perspective on sustainability and the creative possibilities of tilt-up construction.
Closer to home, a few members of our team joined the MetroWire Media Industrial Summit, which offered a comprehensive overview of the local industrial market in St. Louis. There a panel of industry experts covered development trends, investment opportunities, and the outlook for industrial space in St. Louis and the surrounding areas.
Attending local events like this helps our understanding of regional shifts and how they align with national real estate trends, helping us better serve our clients in the Midwest.
Opportunities such as these are always welcome, providing knowledge about market trends and technological advancements, helping us stay on trend and continue the growth of our firm.
Stay tuned for how these insights influence our upcoming work!
