Bret Fendelman Passes Final Exam to Become a Licensed Architect at M+H

News + Insights

Bret Fendelman received notice this month that he passed his final exam in the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Architect Registration Exam (ARE). He is the third person in the firm to get licensed this year.

“I love being able to design or modify an environment that allows people to better their day,” Fendelman said. “It so often goes unnoticed, but it can have such a drastic effect if done correctly.”

“Bret is a very ambitious member of our team,” said Mike Deane, Principal of M+H Architects. “He is never one to shy away from a challenge and is always ready to roll up his sleeves and get to work.”

Bret has been pursuing his license for four years and said the vignettes in version 4.0 were the most challenging aspect of the exams. He jumped on the opportunity to transition the Version 5.0 where these were no longer required. “Finding the time to study with a young family was another big challenge. As soon as I found out I passed, I immediately called my wife to share the great news! She supported me 100% through the process and pushed me when I needed that extra boost.”

Bret was presented with an embroidered pull over to commemorate the occasion as well as the inter-office traveling T-square trophy to which he added his name. He’ll get to keep the trophy until the next employee receives their registration! Congrats Bret!
