Why Bringing Interiors In-house At M+H Was a No Brainer

As a national architecture firm, we recognize our buildings are being designed from the inside out more and more – and for good reason. As most of the world has experienced in recent years, our population is spending more time indoors than ever before. Whether it be to quarantine, work, eat, play, relax, or simply sleep, interior spaces have become one of the most impactful features of our day-to-day lives. It doesn’t matter if you are in a professional office setting or a manufacturing space, the look and feel of a work environment is often the first impression employers make to recruiting candidates and prospective clients. Which is why it was a no-brainer to launch our in-house interior design team in June of 2021.

The M+H Interior Design Team is led by Interior Design Manager, Kate Bechard, NCIDQ. Her experience ranges from corporate, higher education, medical office environments, mission critical, retail, and financial institutions. Kate comes to M+H with a wide breadth of experience, depth of industry knowledge, and a gifted eye.
In the past year Kate, has expanded the team and brought in an Interior Designer, Abby Buchmann, who’s expertise lies in commercial office interiors. Abby brings a vibrant energy, creative vision, attention to detail, and sustainable design practices to the M+H team.
Under Kate’s leadership, we will continue to create innovative and responsive designs for our clients, while fostering new relationships with a focus on our core values – Excellence, Client-Advocacy, Visionary, Trusted, and Responsive.
