This past Saturday M+H took to the streets of Forest Park and participated in the Make A Wish Foundation’s Walk for Wishes. While our team wasn’t the biggest team out there we had 4 people participate in the run and 8 people participate in the walk. Of our four runners one got third place in her age group, another got a personal best time, one got passed by a mom pushing a stroller, and the 13-year-old beat us all! Music filled the air, people were dressed as super heroes, and everyone there made a difference to these children and their families. Not only was it a 5k run and family walk but there were also bounce houses, carnival games, photo booths, face painters, food, drinks, and more after the event. It was a beautiful day to give back and we were honored to be part of such a wonderful event.
Together with some great fundraising ideas we were able to raise $916 to which our generous company matched giving us a grand total of $1,832, all of which goes to help grant the wishes of local children with life threatening medical conditions.
