The existing three story building at the northwest corner of Manchester Road and Tower Grove Avenue has been approved to be renovated into the latest Reliance Bank location. This new location will increase the bank’s St. Louis area presence to 22 branches.
The project will consist of site improvements including additional parking, two new drive through lanes with an ATM under a new canopy, improved site lighting and signage as well as updated landscaping.
Brick will be added to the exterior where the original brick has deteriorated. New stone window sills, will accompany new windows, awnings, and shutters. New gutters will be installed along with new shingles for the mansard roof.
The new bank branch will occupy the first floor and include space for tellers, personal bankers, employee work areas, restrooms, and safe deposit boxes. The first and second floors will also consist of new partitions, fixtures, doors, trim, lighting, and alarm systems. The stairway to the second floor will be improved and the second floor will also include public meeting areas and a new restroom for a potential future tenant.
The upper area will be accessible with a new stairway and other improvements to create an insulated area that will serve as storage/attic space.
This project has officially begun as demolition got underway this week.
