The Woodruff office building is a conventional steel frame with masonry veneer on metal studs and approximately 35,500 sf. The roof is light gauge metal trusses with a standing seam metal roof system. Attached to the office is the 10,800 sf warehouse that is a pre-engineered metal building, masonry accents/wainscot, and a PEMB standing seam metal roof system.
The vehicle storage component is comprised of 3,040 sf of enclosed vehicle storage and 11,680 sf of covered. There is a 1,400 sf three-sided carport connected to the office for corporate vehicles. The 7,200 sf stand-alone service vehicle carport is a pre-engineered metal building system, open on all four sides. The vehicle maintenance building is a 9,600 sf free-standing building. The structure is a pre-engineered metal building with masonry wainscot and a standing seam metal roof system. It includes repair bays, vehicle lift/crane, office, restrooms, wash bay, and transformer storage area.
This project has achieved LEED Silver Certification and incorporates many concepts of sustainable design, including use of ground-source geothermal energy and radiant slab heating, LED lighting on both interior and exterior, and use of building materials that are regionally sourced and low maintenance. This project encourages use of low-emitting vehicles by providing car charging stations near the office entrance.
