Volpi Foods Prosciutto Plant

This project is a new, single-story, approximately 125,000 SF Prosciutto production curing plant on a 30 acre site located in Union, Missouri for Epicure LLC. The building area includes approximately 90,000 SF production and curing area, 9,000 SF of receiving and shipping dock area – each with 2 dock positions, 9,000 SF of staff support area, 17,000 SF of mechanical space and an equipment mezzanine. The plant will be constructed with load-bearing concrete columns, pre-cast wall panels and pre-cast concrete roof structure. Conventional steel frame and sloped roof construction will be utilized at the office, dock, and mechanical areas at each end of the building.
