Trinity Presbyterian Church

Master Plan, Phase I Renovations

In 2011, Trinity Presbyterian Church found a new home in a historic 1930’s Elementary School building located in Kirkwood. Phase I of the project included major interior and exterior renovations to restore the 11,400 SF building to its original beauty. The brick was cleaned of graffiti and pollution before being tuckpointed, the roofing and gutters were replaced, and the original cupola was completely rebuilt with a new cross to replace the old weather vane. Repairing intricate masonry details and new storefront windows lend a hand in giving Trinity Church the community presence this site once had nearly 80 years ago.

The interior was reconfigured to provide space for offices, Sunday School classrooms, a Nursery, and a Narthex. The original gymnasium with a stage was converted to the Nave and Chancel and will be utilized as the Fellowship Hall when a future new worship building is added. Today, the Church is continuously growing in size and prepares to seamlessly coalesce any future additions with the original structure.
