M+H Architects has worked with SYSCO Food Services on 7 projects to date, keeping the Sysco corporate image in the forefront while designing sophisticated and technologically advanced facilities to accommodate frozen, perishable and dry goods for each individual location.
Components common to most of these facilities include 32’ clear height ceilings in the distribution areas, freezers, 5 temperature zone coolers, ammonia refrigeration systems, state-of-the-art material handling systems and technology, specialty floor slabs and under-floor warming systems, fleet maintenance and truck wash facilities, dry warehouses and cold docks, and large, Class-A office elements. Many of the office portions included 2-story entries, reflective glass curtainwalls and skylights.
