Master Plan, Renovations, HVAC Upgrades
In 2010 M+H rolled out a new Master Plan for Rosati-Kain, who then also hired M+H for renovation of restrooms and locker rooms, replacement of windows, an elevator addition and upgraded HVAC systems. For the window replacement portion of the project, we worked closely with the City of St. Louis Cultural Resources Office (historic preservation entity) and a window manufacturer to be sure that replacement windows were as close to historically accurate as possible. The original windows had been previously replaced, so the new windows were designed to match old photographs and the original construction elevations.
Clear insulated glass with low-E coating was used for energy efficiency and the original window frame color was brought back for historic accuracy. With the current HVAC renovations taking place (2011) the window unit air conditioners will soon disappear for an even nicer appearance and quieter, more efficient and comfortable environment.
