Master Planning & Adaptive Reuse of Facilities
The Notre Dame campus is composed of multiple buildings that require different levels of attention based on their age, physical condition, and location. The evaluation looked at spaces such as the existing locker commons, the cafeteria and dance studio. These spaces have functional issues as well as physical issues that needed evaluation. The existing swimming pool was considered for adaptation into a new multi-purpose room and fitness space. The interior finishes of the corridors, the development office and bookstore were projects that immediately followed the review. The main electrical service to the campus was replaced. Each of these projects became a part of a larger plan for the campus improvements and a vision for continued utilization of this well established campus.
