New Northeast Distribution Center – GAP, Inc.

GAP, Inc. – Master Plan

GAP, Inc., the parent company for GAP, Old Navy and Banana Republic label apparel, purchased 175 acres in central New York State, to locate its Northeast Distribution Center, master planned for 3 buildings totaling over 2.5 million SF. Phase I, completed in 2000, consisted of 1.4 million SF including a 2-story 50,000 SF office/support area and a 500,000 gallon water tank for fire suppression system support.

Phase II consisted of 950,000 SF of receiving and hi-cube storage space for GAP, and was initiated immediately upon completion of Phase I. An overhead conveyor link transports product to the Phase I building for final sortation and shipping.

Separation of passenger car and transportation truck circulation on campus was achieved while providing access to the buildings for pedestrians and vehicles.
