M+H provided architectural design services for this project, a new Public Works facility consisting of an approximate 10,000 SF one story building, along with two other outbuildings totaling approximately 13,000 SF. The main building is a pre-engineered metal building with brick veneer and texture clad panels on the front of the facility. The building will provide for office areas, meeting spaces, and other administrative areas, along with shop and vehicle maintenance areas. Other pre-engineered buildings are located on site for salt storage, equipment storage, yard space and other miscellaneous uses.
The site design of the facility includes areas for automobile parking spaces, city vehicle and equipment spaces and other exterior storage areas. The site is fenced for to provide security and control for outdoor yard areas.
M+H Architects was great to work with. I found them to be responsive, and creative problem solvers. Our Public Works facility was a design build contract; even though their contract was through a third party, I felt they protected the City’s interest in the execution of their work. We went through several iterations to get the project within budget. This process went smoothly, and resulted in a great product.
