Contico’s Springfield facility is a tilt-up structure that contains plastic injection molding operations, a single level office area and warehousing operations. The building has rail service for bulk plastic pellet storage with access also to off-load, large injection molds. An internal crane bay facilitates the movement and replacement of the large injection molding equipment. The office is accented with a continuous ribbon of dark glass and has accent bands and reveals that are reflected in the overall building design.
The St. Louis distribution facility accommodates the increased product volume with a cross docked arrangement. A simple, bold, graphic building design brings the massive structure to scale, fitting the surrounding business park.
