New Autism, Youth Care and Respite Center
Community Living, Inc. (formerly The Christopher S. “Kit” Bond Family Support Center), in O’Fallon, MO. Community, Inc. is a charitable, nonprofit agency founded by families in 1958. Their mission statement asserts that they provide quality educational, recreational and respite supports and services which promote inclusion in all aspects of life for people with developmental disabilities and their families.
The project consists of a new main facility to house an autism center, school aged youth care, and respite for youth with significant behavioral needs. The new building is located in the T.R. Hughes development, on a 3.4-acre parcel of land and contains approximately 22,200 SF. The building and site design include outdoor patios, parking, a drop-off area, and protected outdoor play. The building exterior design is traditional in nature with exterior masonry materials and steel framing.
