M+H Architects provided architectural design for Building 1 in the Cranbury Middle Campus, located on a site referred to as Rockefeller Foreign Trade Zone. Sustainable design measures were incorporated into the overall development, including redevelopment of a Brownfield site, implementation of building roof systems that reduce heat-island effect, reduction of light pollution, reuse of existing building components and the use of local/regional materials.
This new, single-story, shell Office/Distribution Center is approximately 680,747 SF. Preceded by Pearson Education and 73 Station Road, this is the third project designed by M+H in the Rockefeller Foreign Trade Zone and the 13th of many projects in the New Jersey Turnpike 8A area. The clear height of the building is 36’ and the exterior building skin consists of load-bearing, insulated, pre-cast concrete panels. It features an attractive curtain wall entrance, 60ft deep dock bays and 116 dock doors.
Additionally, M+H has completed 2 tenant improvement projects at this location including: Kuehne + Nagel – approximately 443,800 SF with approximately 5,400 SF of office area and two remote dock restrooms/shipping offices within the warehouse space, and Howard Berger Company – approximately 237,000 SF including 18,000 SF of 2-level office space.
