Jon Nuessle passed his final exam in the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Architect Registration Exam. He is the first employee in the firm to get licensed this year!
“I really enjoy being creative, both technically and artistically. Architecture is the perfect blend of both,” Nuessle said. “I’m able to design in a way that is beneficial to others, which is extremely rewarding.”
“Jon first joined our team as a summer intern in 2013, and we were thrilled when he came back that winter,” said Larry Valenza, Principal of M+H Architects. “He is one of those rare people that not only has an extremely creative eye but is also very aware of the details.”
Jon found the case studies to be the most challenging part of the exams. “They were far more time consuming than the rest of the questions. It was really easy to get hung up trying to find a specific piece of information to answer the question.”
When asked what advice he would give his younger self Jon said, “Ask more questions! Beyond the task at hand, ask questions to help understand the bigger picture; why decisions are being made.” The first person he shared the news with were his parents, “They have been rooting for me since day one.”
Jon was presented with a pull over as well as the inter-office traveling T-square trophy to which he added his name. He’ll get to keep the trophy until the next employee receives their registration! Congrats Jon!
