Creating Careers with Purpose and Value

After celebrating 25 years in business M+H Architects decided it was time to revamp our mission statement.  It still places the same emphasis on the importance of client relationships but it also focuses on the need to create a rewarding career for our employees.  The new mission states, “We understand the business of our clients and help them realize their goals while providing an engaging career with a rewarding sense of accomplishment, purpose and value.”

One of our many strengths is the ability to create an environment that provides a place for people to have a career with a satisfying sense of success, achievement, and worth.  Employees have the flexibility to create the coveted work/life balance and are celebrated for their achievements inside and outside the office.

This month we are celebrating the 10 year anniversaries of two dedicated employees, Susan Hanak and Evelyn Fleddermann.  Hanak is the office manager for M+H and has successfully implemented a new accounting and project management software that now streamlines the entire life cycle of a project including scheduling, billing, and CRM.   “Susan is absolutely essential to our company.  She not only keeps our project billings on track, but also ensures employees have all the resources they need to be successful,” said Mark Hugeback, Principal of M+H Architects.

Fleddermann has worked on over 40 projects in the past decade including the new GOYA Foods Corporate Headquarters in New Jersey, The Jewish Community Center of St. Louis, and Ursuline Academy .  While she did leave M+H for a short time to pursue another opportunity she quickly returned when their corporate initiatives didn’t match her own personal goals.  “Evelyn has established herself as the ‘go to’ Project Architect with her vast experience, attention to detail, and creative design work,” said Larry Mitchell, Principal of M+H Architects.

With a work environment that focuses on collaboration and employee satisfaction we have continually been able to celebrate these milestone anniversaries.  At the end of February 2015, 54% of our staff will have been with the company for over a decade.  That is a remarkable achievement that clearly demonstrates the level of loyalty and respect we have for the company.
